Micaela Jacinto er fantastisk. Hun er en andengenerations landmand, der overtog familiegården fra sin far i 2000. Dengang arbejdede hun i marken sammen med sin mand, men i kølvandet på Guatemalas økonomiske krise emigrerede han til USA, og hun påtog sig hele landbruget alene.
